The Annual Mahjong Masters at the Star Casino took place over 3 days Starting May 31st. The event saw the top mahjong players from across Australia and around the world playing for their share of $100,000 cash.
The Season 19 Awards Night at St Georges Leagues Club was a fabulous success. With all the Grand Final players invited to attend the presentation eventing, the night was filled with laughter, applause and admiration. The major winners on the night included Chris HH who was the Grand Final winner taking home a massive $5000 and the Grand Final Mahjong Australia Trophy for Season 19 and Johnny who was the Season 19 Champion by earning the most points for the season.
Sunday the 19th of January, was a very special day for a fabulous group of people who have put their heart and souls into playing Mahjong for the past 17 weeks, in Mahjong Australia’s Season 20. The Awards Luncheon and Presentation event was held at The Star Casino. ‘Yuen Chee To’ took out the Grand Final first place position and $5,000 Cash Prize, to be named a Mahjong Australia “Master” player. As was the Season 20 Leaderboard winner, ‘Yui’. Both players have now been added into the Mahjong Australia Masters Gallery and will be invited to play in the Grand Master Tournament later this year.
